4 Books I'm Reading Right Now

Pin Me!

I like to read multiple books at a time which is apparently weird to some people. I get comments about this habit regularly. I start another one when I want to keep reading, but I’m bored of whatever book I’m reading. In the summer when I was little, my mom would take us to the library to pick new books, and I would always get a bunch. I would go home and want to start reading all of them since I was so excited about them, but I can’t read multiple books simultaneously. So, I would read one for a bit then switch. There have been times when I’ve been in the middle of probably 10 books. Right now since I have schoolwork, I am only reading four.

1. The Unexpected Spy by Tracy Walder

This book is about a sorority girl from the University of Southern California who ends up working in the CIA and FBI. I have always loved spy books, and this one is so fascinating to me because it’s real and not a fictional story made up by an author. I’m about halfway through the book, and I only started yesterday. One interesting thing about it is that the CIA actually redacted parts of the book, but the author left them in but blacked out while keeping the story going.

2. Victim of Grace by Robin Jones Gunn

Robin Jones Gunn is one of my all-time favorite authors. I’ve been reading her books since the 6th grade when I started reading the Christy Miller series (I talk about this one in my post about my favorite book series. Click HERE to find it.). This one is a non-fiction book that is a bit like a devotional, but it doesn’t read like a devotional. I’m only in chapter 5, but I’m really enjoying this one.

3. Black Widow Forever Red by Margaret Stohl

Like most people, I love Marvel movies, and after watching my first few in high school, I came across this book at Target. I thought it looked interesting, but I didn’t buy it that day. I took a picture on my phone and added it to my TBR (to be read) list. I finally bought it a few weeks ago. I started reading it a couple weeks ago, but I haven’t felt like reading it much. So far, it is not my favorite book. I’ll finish it eventually.

4. Fly Girls by Keith O’Brien

I  literally just started this one, so I don’t have an opinion on it yet. It’s an interesting topic though. Fly Girls is about the lives of five women who made aviation history.

Next on the list:
Fifteen Minutes by Karen Kingsbury
Praying for Your Future Husband by Robin Jones Gunn and Tricia Goyer
Vow of Thieves by Mary E. Pearson
Miss Unlikely: From Farm Girl to Miss America by Betty Cantrell Maxwell
